The House that Wisdom Built: the 7 Pillars in Proverbs 8 & 9

Wisdom is calling you to understand ‘wisdom’ and be of an ‘understanding’ heart [Proverbs 8:4-5].

The fear of YHVH is the beginning of Wisdom: a good understanding have all those who do His commandments: His praise endures forever.~ Psalms 111:10

The fear of YHVH is the beginning of Wisdom: a good understanding have all those who do His commandments: His praise endures forever.~ Psalms 111:10

Wisdom speaks of excellent things, all righteous as spoken with the ‘opening of My lips’, from the very breath of Yehovah through His Spirit [v.6].

All the words of My mouth shall speak truth [emet, in Hebrew]; and wickedness is an abomination to My lips [v.7]

All the words of My mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing perverted, or perverse in them [v.8].

Wisdom’s words are “plain” to him who understands, and right to them that find knowledge [v.9]. So one must first understand or have their eyes and ears and hearts open only by the very Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit of Yehovah. There is no true understanding nor knowledge without first receiving the “discipline and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold [v.10]”.

I, Wisdom, dwell with insight, and find out knowledge and foresight [v.12].

“The fear of YHVH” with reverence, worship, and awe is central; the things Yehovah loves, we love; the things He hates become things we object to also: evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverted mouth, “that do I hate” [v.13].

Counsel is Mine, and sound wisdom: I AM understanding; I have strength [v.14].

By Wisdom, kings reign, and rulers decree righteousness. By wisdom rulers, nobles and judges rule [v.15 & 16].
WISDOM in Hebrew = “chokmah” skillful, wisely, with wit in a good sense ; from “chaw-kam“, to be wise, in mind, work or action.
“Chochmah” is feminine in the Hebrew. Wisdom, in the plural, is “chochmot”. Wisdom is referred to as “she” as in “her house”. Men should love “wisdom” as “she” reigns!

I love them that love Me; and those that seek Me early shall find Me [v.17].

Why seek Wisdom? Wisdom says, “Riches and honor are with Me, durable and righteous My fruit is better than fine gold and choice silver. I lead in the paths of righteousness and justice. I cause those that love Me to inherit substance and fill their treasures. [v.18-21]

As the Son of Yehovah who descends into humanity to sanctify the world, Wisdom was with Yehovah from before the Beginning or Beresheet [see John 1:1] and dwells in us as “she” builds the house.

Yehovah possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I [Wisdom] was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth was. When there were no depths [abyss, see Genesis 1:2], I [Wisdom] was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with waters [prior to the downfall of man and his need for “wells of Salvation (Yeshua)”, Isaiah 12:3]. ~ Proverbs 8:22-24]

And if it seems evil to you to serve YHVH, chose this day whom you will serve...but as for me and my house, we will serve YHVH.~ Joshua 24:15

And if it seems evil to you to serve YHVH, chose this day whom you will serve…but as for me and my house, we will serve YHVH.~ Joshua 24:15

>Wisdom was brought forth before the mountains, the hills, the earth, and the fields , “the highest part of the dust of the world “[v.25 & 26].

When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set the compass [for direction, “magnetic” North, East to the right] upon the face of the depth: When He established the clouds above: When He strengthened the fountains of the deep: When He gave to the sea His decree, that the waters should not pass His commandment: When He appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him: and I was daily His delight, having gladness always before Him…and My delights were with the sons of men [v.27-31].

Wisdom says , “Listen to Me…[v.32”]! “How happy are they who guard My ways. Hear discipline, and be wise, and refuse it not [v.33]!

Happy is the man who listens to Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors [v.34]

For whoever finds Me finds life [chayim], and shall obtain favor from YHVH [v.35]

WARNING:

“But he that sins against Me wrongs his own being: all they that hate Me love death [v.36]”!

Yeshua the Messiah says, “I AM the Resurrection and the Life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live [John 11:25]”.

Woe to those seeing themselves as wise, esteeming themselves as clever~ Isaiah 5:21

Woe to those who think they are wise and regard themselves as clever? Is there “good” wisdom , “better and best”?

James 3:17 But the WISDOM that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.

But the "chochmah" that is from above is 1st perfect, then full of shalom [peace, blessing, health, wellness, wholeness], gentle, and ready to obey, full of rachamim [mercies], and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.~ Ya'akov-James 3:17 [RSTNE]

But the “chochmah” that is from above is 1st perfect, then full of shalom [peace, blessing, health, wellness, wholeness], gentle, and ready to obey, full of rachamim [mercies], and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.~ Ya’akov-James 3:17 [RSTNE]

WISDOM: PURE—> PEACE-LOVING—>CONSIDERATE—>SUBMISSIVE—>MERCIFULL—>GOOD FRUIT—>SINCERITY

I, WISDOM, dwell together with prudence, I possess knowledge and discretion;

To fear the LORD is to hate evil;

I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech,

Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight, I have power. [Proverbs 8:12-14]

PRUDENCE in Hebrew is “‘ormah“, discretion, guile [in a good sense], subtlety, wilily and wisdom.
PILLAR in Hebrew is “‘ammuwd“, a column, stand, platform , from the verb “‘aw-mad”, to stand, abide behind, appoint, ordain, arise, dwell or raise up.

WISDOM abides with [PRUDENCE] —> [KNOWLEDGE] and [DISCRETION];
[FEAR OF YHVH] = hate evil pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech! =
[HUMILITY] and [ETHICS] –> [COUNSEL] and [SOUND JUDGEMENT] —> [INSIGHT] and [POWER]

This “pure” WISDOM dwells with PRUDENCE leading us to KNOWLEDGE and DISCRETION; however, FEAR OR REVERANCE OF YHVH in us arises to actually “hate” the sin, but of course, love the “sinner”! Pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech will become “a bad taste” which we will want to spit out! ETHICS with HUMILITY allows COUNSEL and STRONG JUDGEMENT to guide our behavior. We then have great INSIGHT and POWER in His Holy Spirit [RUACH HAKODESH] as we are led by Him.

Proverbs 9:1 WISDOM hath built her house, and carved out her 7 pillars.

Does not Wisdom call? and understanding lift her voice? ~ Proverbs 8:1 Wisdom has built her house; she has cut out it 7 pillars ~ Proverbs 9:1

Does not Wisdom call? and understanding lift her voice? ~ Proverbs 8:1
Wisdom has built her house; she has cut out it 7 pillars ~ Proverbs 9:1

WISDOM builds ‘herself’ places to abide. Her foundation includes 7 pillars: these 7 [ the # of perfection] : [INSTRUCTION] [KNOWLEDGE] [HUMILITY] [FEAR OF YHVH] [INSIGHT] [SOUND JUDGEMENT] [COUNSEL]. This is where she will abide.

7 pillars

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever.~ Daniel 12:3

Many shall be purified, and made white through Tribulation; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the WISE shall understand.~ Daniel 12:10

Be wise and get “Wisdom”; let “her” build her house in you; be happy! Shalom in Yeshua who is Wisdom! known also as “the Word” or “the Living Torah” and also ” Memra”.
My prayer is that all read, contemplate, chew, meditate on this word. His [INSTRUCTION]–> [KNOWLEDGE]–> [HUMILITY]–> [FEAR OF YHVH]–> [INSIGHT]–> [SOUND JUDGEMENT]–> [COUNSEL]. This is where POWER and GLORY abide .

The Double Wave of Love!

John 13:34 – A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

I AM giving you a new command: that you keep on loving each other. In this same way that I have loved you, you are also to keep on loving each other. ~ John 13:34

Message: Cherish one another, even strangers with the love of brethren showing deference for one another, esteeming them as valuable and precious, as Christ the Messiah paid the price for all.
Is His commandment to love of God?
 A “law” is an instruction or rule; it requires certain conduct or activities; it is something considered to be authoritative which must be obeyed!
 A “law” is an enactment binding by the sanction of God

Galatians 6:2 – Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Messiah

.
John the Beloved also thought so:

1 John 3:23 – And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the Name of His Son Yeshua Messiah, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

A parable tells of a young man who loved a girl to folly. One evening he could stand it no more. He knocked at her door and begged, ” Let me come in. I must be with you”. She asked, “But who is it”?
He answered, “It is I, your beloved”, to which she replied,” My room is narrow and my bed is straight. There is no place for you”. He left and wandered for years through the world, not understanding her refusal. He had assumed that she loved him, too.
But the moment of enlightenment came. He knocked at her door again. She asked, “Who is it”? He answered, “It is you”! The door opened for him. He was received with embraces. She said, “For years I have waited for this moment”!
–quote: Richard Wurmbrand, If Prison Walls Could Speak, pg. 52

Reward truly shall come quickly by placing others first and helping others to succeed. Is not this part of “dying to self” or “carrying your cross” and “not I but Messiah in me”?
We should all say, “It is you”!

1 Peter 5:5 – Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.

Asher, Happiness & the Number 8

Are you “happy”? Are you supposed to be “happy”? What is “happiness”?avinu-shebashamayim-1-9-11

“Happy” as 1st seen in the Holy Scriptures is in Genesis 30: 12-13:

Zilpah Leah’s slave-girl bore Jacob a 2nd son, and Leah said, ‘How happy [in Hebrew, ‘asher] I am! Women will say I am happy!’ and called him Asher.

Asher derives from the primitive Hebrew root ‘asher: to be straight, be level, right, or happy , to go forward, be honest, prosper, as also in Job 29:11, Psalms 72:17, Proverbs 31:28, and Malachi 3:12, 15.

So, Asher is pronounce ‘ happy’ or call blessed, one who is honest and prosperous in right level way of living! If so, you are happy!

Asher” or happy is son #8, after Reuben #1 [see, a son]; Simeon #2 [Shi’mon, hearing]; Levi #3 [joining, attaching]; Judah #4 [Y’hudah, praise]; Dan #5 [He judged]; Naphtali #6 [my wrestling]; and Gad #7 [good fortune].

  • Message in the  8 sons of Jacob:

See [that God is good]  +Hear [His Word ] +Join or Marry [to God] +Praise [His Name] +Reason [Together with God, Isaiah 1:16] +Contend [fight the good fight of faith]—> Good Fortune and Happiness!                        100_3438 (1024x683)

  •  In Hebrew the number eight is (Sh’moneh), from the root (Shah’meyn), “to make fat,” “cover with fat,” “to super-abound.” “Fatness” symbolizes the blessing of abundance and oils and fats become poured out &  sacrificed by Jacob in chapter 28 and by the Levites later on.
  • Of Asher Moses says in Deuteronomy 33:24-25:

May Asher be most blessed of sons [out of Reuben, Judah, Levi, Benjamin, Joseph, Zebulon, Gad, Dan, Naphtali; Simeon (hearing)  and Issachar (reward) not mentioned; ] , May he be the favorite among his brothers and bathe his feet in oil. May your bolts be of iron and bronze and your strength last as long as you live.

  • Moses continues to teach “Yeshurun” the beloved one that there is “no one like God, riding through the heavens to help you [v.26]! “

The God of old is a dwelling-place, with everlasting arms beneath. He expelled the enemy before you and He said, “Destroy!” So Israel lives in security…Happy [‘asher, O thy happiness] are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by Yehovah, your defender helping you and your sword of triumph. Your enemies will cringe before you, but you will trample down their high places [Dt. 33:27-29].100_3365 (1024x683)

The queen of Sheba was breathless when she saw the wisdom and prosperity of Solomon in 1 Kings 10. In verse 8 she states how “happy your people must be, how happy these servants of yours who are always here attending  you and get to hear your wisdom! 9 Blessed be Yehovah your God, who took pleasure in you to put you on the throne of Israel.” She gave him 4 tons of gold!

How happy [‘asher] are we when we receive the Father’s spirit, the 7 as in Isaiah 11: 1-2: the same spirit  of Yehovah which rested on Yeshua Jesus the Messiah rests on and in us if we believe: with  His Spirit of wisdom, understanding,  counsel, power, knowledge, and fearing [revering] Yehovah!

David sang in a song [Psalms 144:15] :  “How happy the people who live in such conditions [the blessings]! How happy the people whose God is Yehovah!”

Happy is he whose help is Jacob’s God, whose hope is in Yehovah his God [Psalms 146:5]

Happy the person who finds wisdom, the person who acquires understanding, for her [wisdom’s] profit exceeds that of silver, gaining her [wisdom] is better than gold, she is more precious than pearls–nothing you want can compare with her [wisdom] [Proverbs 3:13-15].

How happy is everyone who fears Yehovah, who lives by His ways. You will eat what your hands have produced, you will be happy and prosperous [Psalms 128:1-2].

There was also a prophet named Anna [Hannah] daughter of Penuel of the tribe of Asher [happy] . She was a very old woman [84= 10 x 8  , complete abundance +4 corners of earth]…She never left the Temple grounds but worshipped there night and day, fasting and praying. She came by at that moment [Mary & Joseph brought baby Jesus] and began thanking God and speaking about the child to everyone  who was waiting for Jerusalem to be liberated [Luke 2:36-38].

“Now if I , the Lord and Rabbi, have washed your feet, you also should wash each other’s feet. For I have set an example, so you may do as I have done to you…If you know these things, you will be blessed [happy] if you do them [John 13:14-17]”.

  • This ‘happy‘ is in Greek : “makarios“, supremely blest, fortunate, well off, blessed! Blessed is he who obeys and follows as taught.

Look, we regard those who persevered as blessed [happy]. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and you know what the purpose of Yehovah was, that Yehovah is very compassionate and merciful [James 5:11].

How happy [asher] the person whom God corrects! So don’t despise Shaddai’s   [the Almighty’s] discipline. For He wounds, but he bandages the sore; His hands may strike, but they also heal [Job 5:17-18].

There is power in contentment, to choose to be happy over sad, to “count your blessings one by one and see what God has done” in your life. Look not to others. Choose not to be discontent. We are created to worship Yehovah [Psalm 150]. This journey is “not about us but about Him”. We are here to glorify God:

Romans 11:36″ For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen”.

Once we submit our lives to Him, He fills us with the abundant life, the fatness, the #8, the ‘asher, happiness. Shalom

enjoy honor God

Winds of the WORD : Significance of East , South, West , North in the Scriptures

Every word in the Holy Scriptures is significant! When we

Alexander Cruden's Complete Concordance to the...

Alexander Cruden’s Complete Concordance to the Holy Scriptures. First published 1737. The first entry, for example, ‘abase’ appears in the King James Version of the Bible (KJV) four times; in the books of Job, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. The header of the column of the first entry, ‘abi’, is the first three letters of the last entry on that page. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

look up the words in a Hebrew and Greek concordance, a whole new

world, like Heaven, opens up. Our Savior said to search the

Scriptures, for they tell of Him. That is the secret!

Let us look at east.

  • The east is the front or forefront, like the tribes ‟    … of Judah, Zebulon, and Issachar front order in

the desert, camping on the east toward the sunrise (Numbers 2) “.

  • East in Hebrew is qedem, qadam, or qadim, the forepart, aforetime, also eternal:

Psalm 78:26, “He stirred up the east wind in Heaven”.

  • The root qadam is to project, precede, anticipate, hasten, and

meet.

  • We may meet or anticipate The Prince in Ezekiel‟s temple

(chapter 46), who alone will enter and leave by the east gate.

  • Again, in the next chapter, Ezekiel sees water flowing eastward from the house facing east. The gate will be shut and only The

Prince, who is to sit there to eat his meal, will enter on Shabbat and Rosh Chodesh (1st of the month).

  • At the gate facing east, is where Ezekiel sees the glory of the El of Israel approaching from the east. (43:1)
  • Also, when YHWH returns, in Zechariah 14: 4, His feet will stand on Mt. of Olives, which lies to the east of Jerusalem.

South is on the other hand of east:

  • yamiyn , from yaman, to be right handed or locally south (right of East) or teman, the

    English: Coast of Malta.

English: Coast of Malta. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

south, a being on the right hand of a person facing the East.

  • Blessings and agreements were always done with the right hand. YHWH did not allow David to be “handed” over to King Saul, and

in 1 Samuel 23:v.19, we see David hiding south of Yeshimon, after  entering covenant with Jonathan, Saul’s son.

  • Also, in covenant,  the tribes camping on the south, to set out second, were Reuben,  Simeon, and Gad.
  • In the tabernacle, the  7-Lamp or Menorah, symbolic of Messiah,  is put opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south.
  • YHWH made the Great Bear, Orion, the Pleiades, and the hidden constellations of the south. (Job 9:9) We see this covenant use

of south also in Job 39:26, Psalm 78:26, Song 4:16, Ezekiel  20:6, Zechariah 6:6 and 9:14.

  • Negeb, as in the desert or southern district Judah or Egypt means to be parched, and is the dry south used in

Genesis to Zechariah.

  • Interesting to note the switch from  negeb to darom in Ezekiel 40:24, where Ezekiel is led south

to a gate that faced south, and was led through that gate.

  • Through Ezekiel 42:18, darom is the south or southwind. Then south switches back to negeb the dry/desert to Obadiah 20.
  • YHWH is the Judge, lifts up one, puts down another.
  • In  Psalm 75:5-8, the boastful are told they will not be raised to  power by those in the east, the west, or the desert.

The word for desert or south is midbar, meaning pasture or open field,  where cattle are driven, or wilderness. We are the sheep of His Pasture!

  • Note the north is omitted here.

YHWH has and will gather those He redeems from the power of  the foe, from the east, the west, the north and from the sea.

We  wander in the desert, and in our trouble we cry to YHVH, and He

rescues us from our distress. (Psalm 107:2-6)

  • The sea is the word Yam, to roar, the noisy surf of the sea, the Mediterranean, or large river, a basin, or the west or south.
  • Upon Messiah’s return it is said the sea will come from west, to the east, to split Mt. Olives, and half the mount will move south. We will

flee to the valley, and then YHVH Elohim will come to us with  all the holy ones. (Zechariah 14:5)

  • Sea is symbolic of the mikveh cleansing of immersion or washing for spiritual purity.
  • Yeshua spoke about how the Queen of the south, Queen of Sheba, will rise up in the Last Day, and came from the utter-

most parts of the earth, to hear the wisdom of Solomon.

  • Notos is the Greek for south, and implies south or southwest wind, or southern quarter.
  • Southwest winds also bring the rain, symbolic of the Holy Spirit, and cleansing of our sins. We can note this

in Acts 27:12 with the use the word lips, from leibo, to pour a libation, for south. Lips implies the south (-west) wind

bringing rain:”…harbor of Crete facing southwest …” pouring  the Holy Spirit, during the travel of Paul.

  • Genesis 12:8 makes first mention of west, after YHVH appears to Abram,” and he moved from (where he made the altar)

to a mountain, having Beth-El on the west…and there he called  on the Name of YHVH.

  • Here, and through to 1Chronicles 9:24, the word for west is yam, again, which means roar of the sea, or the

Mediterranean Sea, which we saw with „south‟. Then in  1Chronicles 12: 15 through to Isaiah 45:6, west changes from

yam to marabah, region of evening sun or shading, perhaps  implying darkness or lack of knowledge of YHVH:

“I am YHVH, and there is none else, there is no Elohim beside Me: I dressed you, though you have not known me. That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside Me. I am YHVH and there is none else.”(Isaiah 45:5, 6)

Isaiah 49:12, talking about the return of the remnant,  switches back to yam or sea/water/Spirit:” See, these shall come  from far: and, see, these from the north and from the west…”

(Now north is mentioned, as we are redeemed from darkness, as we  shall later see). YHVH is always into cleansing, as even  Yeshua had John immerse Him, for “a new life “ Spirit- filled miracle, signs, wonder Ministry.

Isaiah 59:19 switches back to marabah/sunset: “So shall they  fear the Name of YHVH from the west, and His Glory from the  rising of the sun.” (The whole earth shall be filled with the

knowledge and Glory of YHWH). All Ezekiel passages 41:12 – 48:34  use yam/sea, at the west sides or west gates of the Temple and  Jerusalem, implying the washing of purity. Then in Daniel 8:5,

talking about the he goat coming from the west, uses marabah!

“… (YHVH) shall roar like a Lion: then the children of Yisrael

(Efrayim) shall tremble from the west (yam)” (Hosea 11:10),

spiritually and physically returning, using the sea.

Verse: Leviticus 1:10-11

If his offering is from the flock, whether from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he must offer a male without defect. He is to slaughter it on the north side of the altar before YHVH; and the sons of Aaron, the cohenim, are to splash the blood against all sides of the altar.

YHVH calls to Moshe from the Tabernacle or Tent of Meeting to  instruct Aaron and sons to kill the sacrifice on the north side of the altar. What is the significance of north?

  • North, in Hebrew is tzaphon, hidden or dark derived from tzaphan, to hide by covering over, to protect, reserve. The sacrifice on the dark gloomy side covers and protects us and keeps us to  Judgement Day!
  • YHVH instructed Moses, in Exodus 26:35, to put the golden table with poles with the Bread of the Presence on the north side, (“in His Presence always”) (v. 29), outside the curtain or

veil, a foreshadow of the body of Yeshua broken for us, and placed on  the north side of the city, Golgotha, place of the Skull.

  • When King Achaz of Judah made a bronze counterfeit altar because he gifted the gold to King Ashshur, he still had Uriah the priest sacrifice on be His fulness light bread sweet incensethe north side of the altar. Do you think YHVH was

pleased? (2Kings 16:8-14) May we be obedient!tabernacle.jpg2

From the examples above we can see significance to east, south,  west, and north in the Holy Scriptures, and learn of Him! Continue to  study to be worthy and ready in season and out. Follow the example,

pick a word from a verse, and it may take you on a new adventure!

So shall they fear the Name of YHVH from the west, and His Glory from the rising of the sun.” (The whole earth shall be filled with the knowledge and Glory of YHVH).

The Dumb Spirit

Detail of a stained glass window featuring a r...

“Not by might nor by power but by My Ruach [Spirit] says YHVH tzevaoth [hosts or
armies] [Zecharyah -Zechariah4:6]

It is by His Spirit that we speak, claim,
prophesy, & expect miracles in our lives.

As we declare that which already exists in heavens[ His blessings, financial favor, healing, new body parts, and so on]  His messengers the angels give heed to His voice and His word on our tongue and in our heart.  They hear us decree YHVH’S will for our lives, to give us life abundant in joy, peace, and so they come to bring heaven in earth!

If we believe in Yeshua, He gives us the keys to the kingdom of heaven: repent; believe, receive; ask, pray, knock, seek, obey and trust! These keys do open doors to heaven and blessings do come!

On the other hand, we can have a dumb spirit in
us if we are not giving testimony, speaking the Word, prophesying,
praying for others, preaching the gospel, nor loving others nor Elohim Almighty God.
For example, there are  2 blind men [for the 2 houses of Yisra’el] in Matthew 9:27,
who followed Yeshua,  as they shouted to Him , “Ben David, Son of David! Take pity on us!”
They did knock, seek & find Him. It says when Yeshua entered the
house, the blind men came up. What house? Y’shua entered their house,
their temple, of the Ruach .  When Y’shua ben David entered their house,
they were spiritually blind . He touched the 2 blind men’s eyes,
& their spiritual sight was restored. Their dumb spirit was gone too,
for “…they went away & talked about Him throughout the district.”
They may have even brought a demon possessed man to Yeshua, for it
says:

” As they were going, a man controlled by a
demon & unable to speak was brought to Yeshua. After the demon was
expelled the man who had been dumb spoke & the crowds were amazed. ‘Nothing like this has ever been seen in Yisra’el!’ [Matthew 9:32-33] “.

The healed man, once bound & unable to speak, now amazed all of the 2 houses of Yisra’el.
Inability to speak about YHVH, to praise His Name, to glorify Him may
indicate a dumb spirit. Once this dumb spirit is gone by the Ru-ach
HaKodesh [the Holy Spirit] in the Name of Yeshua, we can speak to anyone, we can shout
from the rooftops, we can glorify & praise His Name wherever we are.
We are no longer bound.  When we are no longer bound, the Ru-ach has
freedom , & in freedom the Ru-ach reigns, & miracles happen.

“Then some people brought Him a man controlled by demons who was blind & mute; & Yeshua [ben David] healed him, so he could both speak & see. [Matthew 12:22]”

  •   “Dumb” does not refer to one’s mental capacity ; rather dumb is the state of voluntary or involuntary stillness of voice, as in tongue-tied or speechless. In Hebrew, dumb is “il-ame’ ” from “aw-lam“.

Moshe complained to YHVH, saying he was a terrible speaker &
stuttered. YHVH told him , who gives a person a mouth?

“Who makes a person deaf or dumb, keen-sighted or blind? Isn’t it I , YHVH? Now,
therefore, go; & I will be with your mouth & will teach you what
to say [Exodus 4:10-12]”.

This should encourage anyone who feels they
can neither preach nor teach the Word.

Involuntary stillness of voice also came to the Zecharyah , priest in the Temple, in
Luke 1:20, as he was visited by Gavri’el the angel [Luke 1:8-19].
Z’charyah feared & doubted when told Elisheva [Elizabeth] would bear
a son, who would bring joy & delight, & turn many of the people
of Yisrael to YHVH. “Now because you don’t believe what I said, which
will be fulfilled when the time comes, you will be silent, unable to speak until
the day these things take place.” Once he believed, his mouth opened,
& Z’charyah prophesied a heartfelt blessing on his newborn,
Yochannan [John the Immerser].

“And his mouth was opened immediately, & his tongue loosed & he spoke & praised YHWH.”

“And …Z’charyah was filled with the Ruach Hakodesh, and prophesied, saying…”. [v.64-79]
Miracles still happen. The Messiah & the Immerser came to prepare
us for the Kingdom of Heaven.  With repentence and a clean spirit within
us, the Ru-ach Hakodesh, we no longer should have a dumb spirit. We are
saved, bestowed with mercies, & delivered, that we might serve YHVH
without fear, in set-apartness & righteousness before Him, all the
days of our lives. We are ordained or appointed & anointed to go
before the face of Master YHVH Yeshua to prepare His ways; to give the
knowledge of salvation to His people , to give Light to them that sit in
darkness & in the shadow of death. Amen.

Thanks for the tender mercies of our Eloah! We have been visited by the Dayspring from on High! Halleluyah!

Ben Abbadan, Perdition’s Son

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Thy Name: those that Thou gavest Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the Scripture might be fulfilled. ~ John 17:12 [King James Versionperdition.jpeg1

When I was with them, I guarded them by the power of Your Name, which You have given to Me; yes, I kept watch over them; and not one of them was destroyed [except the one meant for destruction, so that the Tanakh might be fulfilled] (Jewish Complete Bible).

Who or what is this ” son of perdition“?

  •  Perdition is translated as ‘destruction’ , ruin ,  a state of character and destiny, implied for all those who oppose nor choose Elohim Almighty God!
    • The son refers to the Hebrew concept of ben, son of beliya’al, son of hasatan, son of Satan.
    • perdition” only appears in KJV [King James Version]! *****
    • Hebrew concept is “abbadan” , to perish or wander off, be lost, as seen in lost sheep of Israel, Jeremiah 50:6,

“My shepherds made them go astray, turning them  loose in the mountains. As they wandered from mountain to hill, they lost track of where their home is.” ~ Yirmeyahu – Jeremiah 50:6 [Jewish Complete Bible]

  • Hell, or the realm of the dead, is “naked before him and destruction hath no covering” nor atonement per Job 26:6!
  • Beliyia’al : without profit, worthlessness, destruction, wickedness [ also evil, naughty, ungodly,wicked ], from beliy: nothing or destruction;
  • Ezekiel 31:15-18 speaks about the ‘torrents of beliyia’al‘ or the snares of death, cords of Sheol [hell]:
  • “I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him  down to Sh’ol with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water , shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.” ~ Ezekiel 31:16

  • 2 Thessalonians 2:3 speaks of ” a man of lawlessness”, God’s apocalyptic enemy:

    • “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition“. [KJV]

    • The Hebraic concept  of this son is a lost soul, destroyed, fearless of Yehovah Elohim God!perdition.jpeg2
    • We are not to be deceived by anyone!

…That ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God! ~ Philippians 1:27b, 28 [KJV]

    • The lost will be cast into lake of fire along with beast and false prophet:

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world…11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven , and goeth into perdition.” [KJV]perdition.jpeg4

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. ~1 Timothy 6:9

    • Our enemies are destroyed by the Author of Life:
    • Nevertheless, Yehovah your Elohim will give them over to you, sending one disaster after another upon them until they have been destroyed. He will hand their kings over to you, and you will wipe out their name from under heaven; none of them will be able to stand against you…”! ~ continue reading, Deuteronomy 7:23-24 [JCB]

      • We also can be destroyed by the Author of Life:
      • “I AM going to stretch out my hand over you and deliver you as plunder to the nations; I will cut you off from being a people and cause you to cease from being a nation; I will destroy you. Then you will know that I AM Yehovah!” ~ Yechezk’el- Ezekiel 25:7 [JCB]

    • perdition” [RSV] is the Greek, apoleia: ruin, damnation, damnable, from ‘apollumi’, unending, eternal damnation

2 Peter 3:7 ” But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men.”[KJV]

    • 1 Peter speaks about our inheritance only in Yeshua is IMPERISHABLE:

Praised be God, Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who, in keeping with his great mercy, has cause us, through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the dead, to be born again to a living hope, to an inheritance that can not decay, spoil or fade, kept safe for you in heaven. ~ 1 Peter–Kefa 1:3,4 [JCB]

  • We will be raised incorruptible, 1Cor.15:42-44 :

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

  •       ” I believe Judas perished in his flesh, hung himself, an anti-God choice; he as many who will not choose Messiah, will damn themselves, rather than allowing God to judge them” -quote from the web
  • Scriptures fulfilled as mentioned in John 17:12 are: Psalms 22, 45, 69 and Zechariah 11:12, 13.

Yoshiyahu repents upon hearing Deuteronomy 28:36. The scroll was found by Hilkiyahu the priest upon searching for silver in the ruined Temple, upon orders to repair.

Yoshiyahu repents upon hearing Deuteronomy 28:36. The scroll was found by Hilkiyahu the priest upon searching for silver in the ruined Temple, upon orders to repair.

    • look at the other translations like JCB, Jewish Complete Bible!
    • a son of perdition ~ ben who separates himself from Torah!
    • From I Saw the Light Ministries: ” The “son of perdition” ~ the Anti-Messiah, oppose all, be a god, sits in the Temple, proclaiming himself god! Some say Basher of Syria? from Alawi sect of Islam, they already worship him! they do “kiss” Jesus, perform communion, abominations….

Bashar Assad can be a son of perdition, an antichrist. England and America may eventually be invaded. Take all of this into major Fasting and Prayer. Ask GOD what HE wants you to do. WHERE does GOD want you to be ? What preparations does HE want you to make?”

  •   http://www.isawthelightministries.com/antichrist

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. ~ Hebrews 10:39 [KJV]

  • In Daniel 7 & 11, one who will magnify self above all, refers to the anti-messiah! “Finally when he pitches the tents of his palace between the seas and the mountain of the holy Glory, he will come to his end, with no one to help him [Daniel 11:45, JCB]
  • Our hope is this:

Many of those sleeping in the dust of the earth will awaken, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting shame and abhorrence. But those who can discern will shine like the brightness of heaven’s dome, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever [Daniel 12:2,3 JCB]

O the ongoing mercies of Yehovah, for surely none of us is righteous. But if we only believe in His Son, the Messiah Yeshua, we become sons of the Living God, and receive life eternal with Him.

Repent and receive the joy of salvation!

Look upon Him lifted up on the stake for you, and receive your healing.

Yeshua nailed the Serpent to that stake, ending the curse of death & sickness, granting us eternal life if we would only believe in Him who the Father sent.

Yehovah is our provision, our healing, our banner, our peace, our righteousness, our shepherd; He is there with you always!

“See, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.  For My own sake…” [Isaiah 48:10-11a]“.

We are called and chosen to be His people, refined in the furnace of affliction, to become His praise and priests of His Royal priesthood!

  • Refine: to make fine or pure; free from impurities, from courseness!  Imbue with culture, polish, and delicate sensibilities! We are refined or made free of impurities in the furnace of Affliction, to become pure gold! This is why we become stressed at times, to become more refined or free of impurities, for His sake!
  • Silver: soft, lustrous metal, used as catalyst, conductor, and to coat mirrors, to reflect us and GOD in us ;or pale money, keceph; greed!
  • Gold:the heaviest but soft lustrous metal,  good conductor, refined only in the furnace!
  • Conduct: way of acting; direct or lead; guide; serve as a medium for or transmit such as heat, electricity and sound; from  Latin, to lead to or bring together!  May we act reflecting Y’shua Jesus, directing and leading people to Him, bringing His Bride together, to glorify Him!
  • Furnace: an extremely hot place, structure containing a chamber for production of intense heat! In the heat, 7 times hotter, is Y’shua with us, if we believe in Him and His Word!

“…eat unleavenedbread with it, bread of affliction, because you came out of the land of Mitsrayim [Egypt] …remember the day in which you came out of …Egypt, all the days of your life.” [Deuteronomy 16:3]

  • Unleavened bread has no leaven [yeast nor baking soda/powder] , is flat, pressed down & baked as is
  • No yeast = no rise~no haughtiness; only  humility, submission, abasement;  opposite of self-exalt!
  • We are to eat, to chew, to meditate this flat bread
  • As we eat, we are to abase self, humble and submit to Yahweh Elohim , Almighty GOD
  • This bread is the Bread of Life~ Jesus Y’shua Messiah
  • See in this flat bread the One who humbled Himself for us and raises us up to new life in Him and at the last day: He is our rise in Life! Matzah, the flat bread of Passover, has pierced marks and stripes, reflecting the torture of Christ for us!
  • So , we are to eat this bread of affliction…and remember our own days of slavery to sin and remember the day we came out, set free by the blood of Jesus Y’shua the Christ Messiah!
  • But…what does it mean, ”bread of affliction”?

Affliction: from the Hebrew, “oniy“: depression! from aw-nah: to depress, abase self, afflict self, submit self, humble self. Christ Messiah submitted Himself for us, was afflicted to provide atonement for our sins, as the Lamb of Yahweh GOD of Isaiah 53!

  • “Yahweh has heard your affliction…[Genesis 16:11]“!
  • “Yahweh has looked upon my affliction…[Genesis 29:32]“!
  • “Yahweh has seen my affliction…[31:42]“! See also Exodus 3:7, 17, 4:31, & Deuteronomy 16:3,  26:7; 1 Samuel 1:11 [Hannah’s affliction ] & Nehemiah 9:9!
  • Job, ” held in the cords of affliction” [36:8], prayed ” therefore see my affliction” [10:15], as the ” days of affliction have taken hold” [30:16], yet to be ”chosen rather than afflicted” [36:21]!
  • Psalmists sang ”…abhorred the affliction of the afflicted…” [22:24] and cried, ” Look upon my affliction and my pain…[25:18]” ! ” …my eye mourns by reason of affliction…[88:9]!

Nevertheless He regarded their affliction or trouble, tsar in Hebrew, a narrow tight place, as in Zechariah 8:10 and Hosea 5:15 !

I shall go, I shall return to My place, until they confess their guilt and seek My face, in their distress diligently search for Me.

There is trouble or anguish, tightness, tribulation or tsa-rah!  And there is tsaw-rar, to cramp , adversary, besiege, or bind , as in Amos 5:12,

For I know your transgressions are many and your sins are great, afflicting the righteous…

Then there is ra’, evil and bad,  from ra’a, to spoil by breaking to pieces and make ‘good for nothing’ ! Ra’ is adversity, calamity, distress, harm, ill mischief, misery, sorrow, trouble, vex, and wickedness!

” [And you should not have ]…nor have entered the gate of My people in the day of their calamity, nor looked down on their evil in the day of their calamity, nor have seized their wealth in the day of their calamity … (Obadiah 12-13)”!

Out of affliction , fracture, or ruin can be birthed a solution! The Hebrew word sheber, for ruin , breach, breaking, crashing comes from shabar, to burst, break down, crush , destroy but also ‘bring to birth’ ! Amos 6:6 had this ‘in mind’ mentioning  Yosef, [Joseph], a shepherd boy thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, who rose to be Prince of Egypt:

“[ You]… who are drinking wine from bowls, and anoint with the finest ointments, yet they have not grieved over the breach [affliction] of Yosef!”

Psalm 102 is ” a prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before Yahweh “!

” O Yahweh, hear my prayer, and let my cry come to You! Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress; incline Your ear to me…”! [v. 1-2]

Psalm 140:12 affirms that Yahweh maintains the cause of the afflicted:

I have known that YaHWeH maintains the cause of the afflicted, the right ruling of the poor.

Yahweh deserves and receives praise in Psalm 66: 1-2,

” Shout with joy to Elohim, All the earth! Sing out the splendor of His Name; Make His praise esteemed”!

Yahweh deserves praise always, even as, in verses 10 & 11, we read, using the Hebrew for affliction,  mu-aqah: pressure, distress, as in ‘packed’ :

“For You, O Elohim, have proved us;    You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our loins”!

Even in the time of evil and affliction, we give praise, for He is there with us:

“Yahweh said, Did I not direct you for good? Did I not intercede for you in a time of evil and in a time of distress (tsarah) against the enemy? [Jeremiah 15: 11]“

“O Yahweh, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress…[16:19]“.

So, should we give thanks for affliction? Does it  bring us closer to Him?

“Yahudah (Judah) has gone into exile, because of affliction and because of the harsh labor…[Lamentations 1:3 ] “.

“In the days of her affliction and wandering, Jerusalem remembered all her pleasantries she had in the days of old [v.7]“.

“See, O Yahweh, my affliction, for the enemy has made himself great! [v. 9b]“

“This is why I weep. My eye, my eye is running down with water, because the Comforter, who could bring back my life, has been far from me. [v. 16]“.

“See, O Yahweh, that I am in distress. My inward parts are boiling up, my heart is overturned within me, for I have been very rebellious [v. 20a]“.

“I am a man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath [3:1]“

  • darkness and not light [v.2]
  • His hand against , His back turned [v.3]
  • flesh and bones worn and broken [v.4]
  • surrounded by bitterness and hardship
  • hedged in, not going out [v. 7]
  • cry and shout but prayers ‘not heard’ [v. 8]
  • own way blocked, paths crooked [v.9]
  • as if a lion or bear lie in wait to attack [v. 10]
  • “He has bent His bow and stood me up as a target for the arrow. He made the arrows of His quiver pierce my kidneys. [v. 12-13] “.

Yet, Yahweh indeed ”remembers” and bows down to us! [ Lamentations 3 : 20]

” 21 This I recall to my mind, therefore I wait:   22 The kindnesses of Yahweh!    For we have not been consumed, for His compassions have not ended.   23  They are new every morning, great is Your trustworthiness.  24  ‘Yahweh is my Portion ‘ , says my being, ‘ Therefore I wait for Him! ‘

25 Yahweh is good to those waiting for Him, to the being who seeks Him.”

We can cry out to Yahweh just as Yonah [Jonah] prayed to Yahweh his Elohim from the stomach of the fish!

“And he said, ‘ I called to Yahweh because of my distress, and He answered me…[Jonah 2:2]“!

Affliction is lachats: to press, distress, crush, force, oppress, as used also in Nahum 1:9 & 12, and Isaiah 63: 9:

In all their distress He was distressed, and the Messenger of His Presence [Y’shua] saved them.  In His love and in His compassion He redeemed them, and He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.”

Yahweh is distressed when we are! If we have no root in the Branch, the root of Jesse, Y’shua,  we are “short-lived” and

” 17 b Then when pressure or persecution arises because of the Word, immediately they stumble.

20 And those sown on good soil, are those who hear the Word and accept it, and bear fruit, some 30fold, and some 60, and some a 100 [Mark 4]“.

Thlipsis is Greek for pressure : affliction, burdened, persecution, tribulation!

“19 For in those days there shall be distress, such as has not been from the beginning of creation which Elohim created until this time , nor ever shall be.

20 And if the Master had not shortened those days, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen ones, whom He chose, He shortened the days. [ Y’shua speaking , Mark 13]

Stephanos, a chosen one of  Y’shua preached about  distress [Acts 7:11] and salvation through Y’shua and  was persecuted and stoned to death [v. 54-60]!

Sha’ul, Paul the Apostle, saw much affliction in his ministry:

“For out of much pressure and distress of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be sad, but that you might know the love I so richly have for you [2 Corinthians 2:4]“.

“Some indeed proclaim Messiah even from envy and strife, but some also out of pleasure- the former announce Messiah from selfish ambition, not sincerely, thinking to add distress to my chains…[Philippians 1:15-16]“.

Paul encouraged us to become “imitators” of him and Messiah, having received the Word ”in much pressure“, with joy of the Holy Spirit [1 Thessalonians 1: 6]!

“…therefore, brothers, in all our pressure and distress we were encouraged concerning you by your belief. Because we now live, if you stand fast in the Master [3:7-8]“!

Moshe by belief, became great in Yahweh, refusing to be called the son of the daughter of Pharaoh,

“…choosing rather to be afflicted with the people of Elohim than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time, deeming the reproach of Messiah greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he was looking for the reward [ Hebrews 11: 24-26]“.

James encouraged his brethren and us to “take the prophets” as an “example of suffering and patience”, “who spoke in the Name of Yahweh” [James 5:10]!

Yahweh does not willingly afflict [Lamentations 3:33] and undoes in time all that does afflict us [Zephaniah 3:19], as we call upon His Name. Then in time we may say, as the Psalmist, in Psalm 116:10, “…good for me to have been afflicted…”! [also Psalms 119: 67, 71, 75, & 107] Shalom….

Not Done In A Corner (Acts 26:26)

“But (Sha’ul or Paul, his gentile name) said, I am not Imagemeshugas (crazy)…but speak out the words of emet/ truth & common sense…for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from you; for the thing was not done in a corner.” (Acts 26: 25-26)

Corners can be signifigant in YHWH‘s Word.  YHWH speaks in His Word about many different corners and also corners that are not really corners ! His work of salvation of Yeshua was a mystery, hidden but not in a corner. It was revealed in a place, Israel, and spread to the four “corners” of the earth.

  •        One biblical corner  is revealed  on His talit, or prayer shawl.

“But to you that fear My Name (YHWH) shall the Sun of Tzedakah/ Righteousness arise with healing in His 4- cornered tzitzit ; and you shall go forth, & grow up as calves of the stall. ” (Malachi/ Malaki 4: 2)

Tzitzit is the fringe of the edges of the talit. The corners are as wings of a bird or flaps of a garment, from the Hebrew, kanaph: to project laterally.  Image

  •  Steps to healing:  Kaphaph [kaw-phaph], bow down, revere & truly worship YHWH.
  1.  Confess in your heart & believe in Yeshua as your cover or kaphar.  As “the Son” rises up in your life, He blesses you with healing, wholesomeness, & completeness.  You see, Yeshua wore the talit with tzitzit as part of His torah-observant piety.
  2.  As we enter His tabernacle, tent or talit of meeting, worship YHWH, we receive the promises which include healing, joy, peace, & love of YHWH. We receive His Holy Spirit, the Ruach Ha’Kodesh!
  3. As we repent, & shuv or turn from our ways, Yeshua’s sacrifice appeases YHWH, makes atonement for our sins, cleanses us, forgives us, pardons us, covers us, reconciling us to YHWH. Healing can be automatic or take years!  YHWH is Sovereign.  Ultimately, He wants us to be clean vessels for His use.( see note on “Pots for Service”).

  •   A corner can mean “to the uttermost part” of the land, object, or earth!  A corner is 3-dimensional not flat, with height, depth & length.  A corner is bent, an angle, sharp or dull.  The boards  or support of the Tabernacle had bending, turning corners, called mekutsah, as in Exodus 26:23, 24.  The altar corners were pinnah, chieftain, pinnacle & tower or bulwark corners, seen by all in the court.
  • Blood of the sin offering was dripped on the horns at these 4 corners of the altar while blood was also poured on the sides & at the bottom, completely covering the altar of sacrifice: a foreshadow of the complete blood atonement for our sins by Messiah. ( See note on “Washing of Regeneration) [Also Exodus  27:2, 38:2]
  • There is no height, width, or length which can separate us from the love of Yeshua. No “corner” can keep us from the love, neither trouble, hardship, persecution, hunger, poverty, danger, war [Romans 8:35].

Image

  • The corners of the shulhan or gold-covered table in the Tabernacle were pe-ah, the mouth, direction, region or extremity: certainly more morphemic, as if describing body parts. So, it is not surprising that the “Bread of Presence” or Lechem Ha Panayim was placed on this shulhan!
  • Also, the Menorah , the 7-branch lamp beaten out of one piece of solid gold, was placed across the Holy Place from the  shulhan. The bread & lamp are symbolic of Messiah, who became our Light & body broken for us.
  • The tabernacle formed a cross shape, with the altar, the sea basin at the southern bar; the Menorah, the table, and the altar of incense forming the cross bar; and the Holy of Holies with the ark, forming the northern bar, +! Image
  • When Ba‘alam and Barak looked down upon Israelite camp in Numbers 24, they saw the cross formation of the 12 tribes placed by 3’s around the “corners” of the tabernacle, forming the +.Image
  •            The gold-covered ark held the Testimony, the tablets, the manna, & the blooming rod of Aaron & had a lid of kepporah [covering] on the Mercy Seat, with hovering cherubim overhead.
  • The ark’s  corner is pa-am, an anvil which is an iron or steel block used to hammer softened metals into a desired shape! Also, pa-am is a foot-step:
  • We are molded as our hearts soften into YHWH’s image through the witness of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As we eat the body of Messiah, His Word, we see miracles.  The closer we step toward YHWH, the closer He comes to us & fills us with His presence. YHWH has become man & through Yeshua, man becomes like Him!
  • Pa-am is also a stroke, of music or rythmn, a tapbeat!  Song in worship is the very essence of praise of YHWH, coming from the heart of man.

“So this is what the Sovereign Master YHWH says, See, I lay a stone in Tzion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.  I will make justice the measuring line & righteousness the plumb line…”. (Isaiah 28: 16-17a)

  •  Yeshua is the Chief Corner Stone, our foundation & our emunah or faith. If we rely on Him, & follow His Way, we will not panic at the signs of the second coming, but rejoice awaiting His Justice & Righteousness.
  • This ‘corner’ is chief, from pinnah , of the sacrificial altar (above),  to stay or be our tower also, as in “YHWH is my tower & I run to Him”!

“Yeshua said to them, Did you never read in the Scripture, The Stone that the builders rejected, the same has become the Head of the corner: this is the Master YHWH’s doing & it is marvelous in our eyes?” (Matthew 21:42; see also Mark 12:10, Luke 20:17)

“And whoever shall fall on this Stone shall be broken (in spirit, as I, to receive Him as the Messiah!): but on whomever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder & they will be broken apart.” (Mat.21:44)

“Be it known…by the Name of Yeshua Ha’ Moshiach of Natzeret…even by Him does this man (Peter or Kepha, which means a piece of rock or the Rock!) stand here before you healthy (in spirit, body & mind through Messiah).

This is the Stone that was rejected by you builders, that has become the Rosh Pina (the Head Cornerstone).

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other Name under the shamayim given among men, whereby we must be saved.” ( Acts 4:10-12)

“Therefore also it is contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Tzion a chief Corner Stone, elect, precious : & he that believes on Him shall not be put to shame.”

“To you therefore who believe He is precious: but to those who are disobedient, the Stone that the builders disallowed, the same is made the Rosh Pina, & a Stone of stumbling, & a Rock of offense, even to them who stumble at the word, being disobedient…” . ( 1Peter/ Kepha 2:6-8)

“Beit Yisrael (one “new” House of Yisrael~congregation of believers) is built upon the foundation of the apostles(sent ones or messengers) & prophets (neviim), Yeshua Ha Moshiach Himself being the Rosh Pina.” (Ephesians 2:20)

All true congregations are built on the foundation of the head cornerstone, Messiah with the writings of the TaNaK , known as the 1st covenant [ never “old”; Tanakh =Torah,Nevim, Ketuvim].  The writings [Ketuvim] of the  prophets [Nevim] are rewritten in the Brit Chadasha, the Renewed Covenant, known as the “New Testament”, of the apostles/disciples of the renewed covenant [Ezekiel 36:26]!

YHWH has not spoken to us in secret: He, the Son, & the Ruach Ha Kadosh have spoken to us from the very beginning (Isaiah 48:16)  YHWH gave us things with corners, like the altar, the Tabernacle, the shulhan, to help us come to Him.  Then YHWH sent His Son , the chief Corner Stone.  Many of us have stumbled & been broken over the Stone.

“For this thing was not done in a corner.  Melech Agrippa, do you believe the neviim? I know that you believe. Then Agrippa said to Shaul, You almost are persuading me to be a Notsri…And Shaul said, I would to Eloah…”.Image

[I myself tripped over that stone, fell flat on my face, saw the shed blood of Yeshua and His forgiveness for my sins, and surrendered my heart to Him. These years of submission have been the best of my life. I can not even fathom a life without believing in Yeshua as the Messiah for the Jew and the gentile.]

Person to Person: We Strengthen in God through His Vest

A young girl who named herself “Cornflake” writes :

English: David anointed by Samuel

English: David anointed by Samuel (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

” Not even sure how to trust anyone anymore. Everyone disappoints. Even parents do.” “Pray God give me strength through all problems I’ve prayed every night for years but nothing’s worked. Pray for my family please. My parents constantly fight and scream over money. I’m scared! I don’t know why I wasted so much time pretending I didn’t care, I guess I just didn’t wanna feel like this. Help…give me wisdom”!

How do we “strengthen” ourselves in God alone, in battle, with the enemy seeking to destroy us?

David was in serious trouble : the people [ his 600 mighty men of war] were talking about stoning him to death, because all the people were in such deep grief, each man over his sons and daughters.

But David strengthened in the LORD his God.

David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Achimelech , “Please bring the ritual vest here to me.” ~ 1 Samuel 30:6-7]

What is the ritual vest [Exodus 39:1-21]?

  • The ritual vest is a covering of fine linen of blue, purple [for Royalty], scarlet [the Blood], over the blue robe  [blue for Heaven] of the priest.
  • It is called ‘ephod’ in Greek, and contained  1) twisted chains of  pure gold piercing gold rings [symbolic of pure Messiah pierced] attached at the 4 corners to a  2) squared and folded piece of fine linen [white for purity], called the judgement breastplate which was embezzled with engraved gems for each of the 12 tribes of Israel and also contained 3) the urim and thumim [oracular stones; Exodus 28:30].
  • The vest had 2 engraved stones on attached shoulder pieces  with 6 tribes on each stone, possibly onyx, in birth order [Exodus 28:6-10]  . Aaron and his sons were to wear it as a reminder  of Israel , as they went before Yahweh in prayer and atonement for sins [v.12]. Samuel the prophet-priest wore it, even as a child, in the house of Shiloh [tranquility; 1 Samuel 2:18].
  • David may have remembered Samuel  the prophet, speaking the Word of God, wearing the vest during priestly duties of sacrifices [Leviticus 1-8] in his circuit as judge including Beth-El [house of El, God], Gilgal [circuit, wheel, round] , and Mitzpah [tower of prayer, the watch] to Ramah [ a high place, in idol worship]; his anointing him with his horn of oil [ symbol of power of the Spirit on him, 1 Samuel 16:1 & 13 ]; the Feasts of Yahweh [Leviticus 23], where Samuel seeks Yahweh to shine His face and grant favor and mercies [rachamim, mercies ongoing; plural] on Israel. Samuel grieved over Saul, who turned his back on Yahweh and disobeyed his orders, practicing idolatry [1 Samuel 15: 10-12′ 22-23, 24-29].

The vest was worn to remember the sons  and sins of Israel as they carry their names before Yahweh ,”on his two shoulders” as a reminder. The shoulders carry the burden at the neck [shechem] and head.

Yeshua  Jesus the Messiah and our High Priest, our Intercessor, teaches us to come to Him and release our burdens , symbolized by the yoke oxen carry. He says

“Come to Me, all of you who are struggling and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I AM gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light [Matthew 11:28-29]. ”

“For what I desire is mercy, not sacrifices, knowledge of God more than burnt offerings [Hosea 6:6]”.

The urim and tumim were placed inside the pocket formed by the folded square linen of the breastplate for judging. 1) They would be over the priest’s heart when he goes into the presence of Yahweh. 2)  The ritual vest gave the priest the means for making decisions for the people of Israel over his heart when he is in the presence of Yahweh [Exodus 28:30].

Abiathar the son of Achimelech  the priest flees to David when he saves Ke’ilah [ Hebrew: ‘looting the threshing-floor’!], and brings the ritual vest.  David [loving] had sent Abiathar [Avyatar: abba or father of abundance; generous] the priest to bring the ritual vest to him to inquire of Yahweh about the approaching armies of King Saul, ready to ambush him and his men in Ke’ilah. David asks,

“Yahweh Elohim of Israel, your servant has certainly heard that Saul intends to come to Ke’ilah and destroy the city just to get me. Will the men of Ke’ilah turn me over to him? Will Sha’ul [Saul: asked, in Hebrew!] come down, as your servant has heard? Yahweh Elohim of Israel, please tell your servant! [1 Samuel 23:10-11]”.

Yahweh answers his inquiry , maybe shining the lights in the vest, the urim for “yes” and the thumim for “no”, its counterfeit the  pagan “crystal  8 ball” ! Yahweh tells David Ke’ilah will hand them over, so David and his men flee and are saved once again from the spear of Sha’ul.

“…the judgement on you shines out like light. [Hosea 6:5c]”!priest vest

The saga of David continues for our instruction:

  • Not wanting to kill Saul, David flees many times, hiding in camps and caves, and even a sanctuary of Nob [1 Samuel 21:1-8]!  David has victory many times when he consults with Yahweh first!
  • However, when he flees behind enemy lines to hide, David does not inquire of God. He “says to himself“, “One day Sha’ul will sweep me away. The best thing for me to do is escape into the territory of the Philistim. Then Sha’ul will give up trying to find me here or there in Israel’s territory, and at last I’ll be free of him! [1 Samuel 27: 1]”. The lies of the enemy are to rob joy of salvation and a relationship with God!
  • David and Saul

David and Saul (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

  • He deceives the Philistine King Akish with lies that he and his men are raiding the desert camps of Judah, Caleb’s Kenites, and his brother. Meanwhile he is raiding lands of the Geshuri, the Gizri and the Amaleki [v.8, 9-11].
  • Saul does stop searching for David there, but God allows an even greater enemy to come in. Once we stop seeking Him, the hedge of protection gets lifted!
  • Ziglag is gifted to David by King Akish [27:5,6] because he likes David and trusts him [v.12]
  • “In due time” [28:1] for a ‘testing’ the Philistines assemble their armies for war against Israel. David joins as King Akish’s “personal bodyguard”, in conflict of interest.
  • For this lie and “conflict of interest“, the other chiefs of the Philistines protested: “this is David; the Israelites used to dance and sing about him [29:4-5]”. He might be a ‘double agent’ and kill them!
  • Akish, who views David “as an angel of God ” [v.9], relents and sends him  and his men ‘home’.
  • Ziglag is raided and sacked with everything including women and children taken, by the Ameleki! Nothing is left when David and his men arrive. Ziglag is burnt to the ground. All cry aloud “until they had no power to cry [v.4]”! David’s 2 wives and others gone!
  • So David is in “serious trouble” with his fellow ‘followers’; they all lost their families.
  • What should David do?  [What would we do? ] 600 mighty warriors in grief!
  1. David remembers Yahweh, as he so often does in his psalms or songs. Yahweh is Sovereign, Healer, Deliverer , Savior, and Shepherd, Holy and due praise on the lyre! [Book 1, Psalms  of David, 1-41]
  2. David recalls Yahweh’s mercies as the Vindicator and Rescuer  He is Strong and Mighty and faithful , to respond in support and forgive him out of all his distress and put his feet on higher ground [Book 2, Psalms of David, 51-71].
  3. David prays as in Psalm 86, for preservation as his servant, “to take pity” for “I cry to You all day” ; to “forget none of His benefits”: He forgives all offenses, heals all diseases, redeems your life from the pit, surrounds you with grace and compassion [Psalm 101, 103], as our Father and Judge.
  4. David calls on no one else.  He strengthens himself in Yahweh his God Elohim!
  5. Then David says to Avyatar the priest the son of Achimelech [Akimelek, brother of the king, in Hebrew], “Please bring the ritual vest“!
  6. Then David consults Yahweh. He asks, “Should I go in pursuit of these raiders [of Ziglag, the Ameleki]? Will I catch up with them? [1 Samuel 30:8]”. Yahweh answers him, by saying “Go”! They cross the creek B’sor [Hebrew for refreshing, cheerful], leave 200 men to refresh and with 400 men are led to victory!
  7. David becomes King and dances with joy bringing the ark of Yahweh into the City of David,  Mt. Zion, Jerusalem:

“Then David danced and spun around with abandon before Yahweh, wearing a linen ritual vest. So David and all the house of Israel brought the Ark of Yahweh up with shouting and the sound of the trumpet [2 Samuel 6:14, 15]”.

So my dear Cornflake, strengthen yourself in God. Adore Him, Meditate on His Word, Accept all the blessings He wants to give you, Trust Him and Obey His commandments, to love Him and your neighbor. As for your parents, we pray they also meet the Savior, receive forgiveness for their sins, be washed in the blood of Yeshua. Amein. And Cornflake, don’t forget to put on your ritual vest:

“So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing.

Therefore stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist, put on righteousness for a breastplate, and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom [peace, blessing, health, contentment].

Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.

And take the helmet of deliverance, along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is the Word of God;

As you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people [Ephesians 6:13-18]”!

May the God of abundance bless you!

The 7 Sons, a Hidden Mystery Revealed

King David [Daw-viyd, loving] was the 7th son of Yishai [Yishay, Iy-shah-iy, extant, to exist;Jesse] and ruled 7 years in Hebron  and 33 years in Yerushalayim, as king. Sometime afterward, there were 7 sons born to a “son” of David, Elyo‘einai , El-yow-ey-nay, “toward Yah are my eyes“, 2 Chronicles 3:24.

A page from a 14th century German Haggadah

A page from a 14th century German Haggadah (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

There was I lead to a hidden mystery in the ‘7 sons’. Yeshua said to search the Scriptures. So I searched the hidden meanings for “the sons of Elyo’einai: Hodavyahu, Elyashiv, P’layah, ‘Akuv, Yochanan, D’layah, and ‘Anani–seven [2 Chron. 2:34]”.

Image

  1. Hodavyahu, Ho-dav-yahu: [hode=grandeur] a royal descendant; majesty of  our Yah!  5 Hodavyahu’s in Scriptures
  2. Elyashiv, 7x’s name ascribed: “Yah will restore“, El-ya-shiv;  from SC#7725 shuwv: turn back
  3. P’layah, 3x’s ascribed, here and in Nehemiah 8, 10: Pe-law-yah, “Yah has distinguished“; from paw-lah, to separate, make great, wonderful, miracles
  4. Akuv, 5x’s ascribed, Ezra, Nehemiah 7,8 ; Akkub [KJV] : insidious sly – treacherous – guileful – crafty – perfidious, in a slow-cunning-way; from ‘akav: to swellout, seize by the heel, circumvent, restrain, as if “holding the heel”! [who else but Ya’akov the supplanter!]
  5. Yochanan, 11x’s ascribed names, including “John”! {and me! }[Yochananah, fem.]: Ye-how-chanan, “Yehovah has favored“; from “chanan“, to bend over, stoop, show mercies
  6. D’layah, only used here; De-law-yah, “Yah has delivered” or “Yah has lifted up“; from daw-law, to dangle, let down a bucket for drawing out water; remember Rav Sha’ul, who was ‘delivered’ by brothers lowering him in a bucket from a window!
  7. Anani, used once; A-naw-niy, cloudy; a cloud-covering sky , nimbus and thunder clouds; from anan, aw-nan: to cover, act covertly, practice magic, enchanter, soothsayer, sorcerer!

The mother of 7 sons grows faint,

panting in despair;

her sun [pun for son?] has gone down while it’s still daytime; she is disgraced and bewildered.

And the rest of them I will give to the sword,

to their enemies,” says Yahweh. [Yirmeyahu – Jeremiah 15:9]

The 7 sons of Elyo’einai , progeny of David , give us a hidden or “sod” message:

  • Toward Yah should be my eyes,
  • as I behold His majesty and grandeur;
  • Yah will restore as I turn back to Him.
  • He alone will distinguish me, separate me, make me great, for He is wonderful of miracles
  • Lest I swell out, become arrogant, haughty, seize by the heel rather than by the heart
  • Yah alone grants favor, rachamim [mercies ongoing], exalts the humble, shines His face; gives shalom [peace, contentment, blessings, health]
  • Yah lifts me up from the pit, the miry clay; sets my feet on the Rock; establishes the Way; shines His lamp; anoints me, fills me with His oil, His ‘Ruach HaKodesh‘, Holy Spirit; out of me flows ‘Rivers of Living Waters’
  • Dark clouds and thunder of Yah will cover me if I act covertly, practice magic, use enchantment, a soothsayer, or sorcerer.Image

Yirmeyahu [ “Yah will rise” ] was told by Yahweh to stop praying for “this people”. But Yahweh never forgets His child “Israel” and He will save them [Isaiah 49, 53]. We must continue to be His witness of love and rachamim. We all sin and need salvation through Yeshua, {“He will save”, short for SC#3091, Yehoshua, Yehovah-Saved}.

“Don’t you see what they are doing in the cities of Y’hudah and in the streets of Yerushalayim? The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough to make cakes for the queen of heaven [Ishtar, Ashtoreth, Eastore, Mary]; and, just to provoke Me, they pour out drink offerings to other gods! Are they really provoking Me”, asks Yahweh, ” or are they provoking themselves to their own ruin?” [Yirmeyahu 7:16-19]

Yehovah’s anger and fury will be poured out but He saves!

“So I went in and looked, and there, carved on the walls all around, were every kind of reptile and repulsive animal [unclean], along with all the idols of the house of Israel. Standing in front of them were 70 of the leading men of the house of Israel-in the center stood Ya’azanyahu  [heard of Yah; Ja’azaniah, Jezaniah; a chief Rechabite, Yirmeyahu 35:3] the son of Shaphan. Each man had his incense-burner in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up.” [Yechezk’el – Ezekiel 8:7-18]

The 70 leaders of His House as the 7 th son have left the glory of Yah and are covered with darkness, idol worship instead. They even say in their hearts, “Yah can not see us”, lets follow Tammuz and worship the sun between the porch and the altar [v.14-16].

We must let go of pagan habits which invade our lives. We must follow and turn back to Yahweh, our Elohim, full of majesty and grandeur. May we say, ” my eye is toward Yah” and behold His glory. May He cleanse us of all iniquity, shine His face on us, and grant us favor and shalom. May we follow His Resurrected One, for he that has Him has Life. It is Yeshua who points us back to Yahweh. May we be obedient in keeping His Torah, for He has come to fulfill the prophecies of Him in it. He is the Passover !

It only takes a little hametz [ leavening, yeast=sin ] to leaven a whole batch of dough. Get rid of the old hametz, so that you can be a new batch of dough, because in reality, you are unleavened [as a believer in Yeshua]. For our Pesach [Passover] lamb, the Messiah [Anointed One, the Christ] has been sacrificed. So let us celebrate the Sedar [Passover service meal of order] not with leftover hametz, the hametz of wickedness and evil, but with the matzoh [unleavened bread] of purity and truth.” [ 1 Corinthians 5:6-8]

Chag Pesach Semeach, Joyous Feast of Passover, followed by Feast of Unleavened Bread [Exodus 12, Numbers 9, Deuteronomy 16, Joshua 5, 2 Kings 23, 2 Chronicles 30, 35, Ezra 6, Ezekiel 45, Matthew 26, Luke 22, John 2, 6, 11, 13, 18:28 & 39, 19:14, and Hebrews 11:28, and Acts 12:4 Passover as Pesach]Image

Matzoh, unleavened bread,

without leavening, something to make it rise, for “it” rises in Yeshua, the Bread or Matzoh!

The leavening =sin, so a Bread sinless is He!
