Isaiah

What troubles you now that you have gone up to the housetops? You that are full of turmoil, a tumultuous city, and a noisy city…look  away from me; I will weep bitterly, don’t bother to comfort me… (Isaiah 22: 1-2 from a message of perplexity of the Master YHWH Righteous in the Valley of Vision)

Isaiah the Prophet still has a message from YHWH GOD for you who are hurt, going crazy with fear, hiding on the rooftops, fleeing with fear.  Your leaders have already given up and fled.  Your people are robbed and slain but not with the sword!  It is a day and time of trouble , trampling down, breaking down the walls and of crying to the mountains.  Your best valleys are full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in battle array at the gate.  ( v. 3-7)

Then YHWH removes the covering or protection of Judah, and you did look in that day to the former days, the good days, when King Solomon  built arsenals of weapons and armor at the house of the forest. (v. 8)

The city of David is now in disrepair, walls cracked and tumbling. A ditch is made between two walls to collect waters at the lower pool.  Homes within the walls are broken down to  support the outer part of the city.

But you have not sought its Maker, neither

seen Him that made it long ago. ( v. 11)

In that day the Master YHWH righteous called, and is calling now, for weeping, and for mourning, and for baldness, and for girding with sackcloth. (v. 12) But, instead we “see joy upon joy, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating meat, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die.” (v.14)

And it was revealed in my ears by YHWH tzevaot [LORD  of hosts], Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you until you die, says the Master YHWH tzevaot.  (v.14, and similar to “… the soul that sins shall surely die”… Ezekiel 18:20)

The stage is set, but there will be a way out.  YHWH says to Isaiah, ” Go get to this treasurer, a deputy of King Hezekiah, named Shevna”.  YHWH accused Shevna of selfishly carving out his own home in the rock, taking care of himself, rather than building shelters for the citizens. ( Sound familiar?) Shevna, whose name means growth, may have embezzled funds or been on the take with the Assyrian government.( Sound familiar again?)   See, O man, YHWH will throw you out, and will surely grab you. He will…toss you like a ball… Your chariot of glory will be the shame of your master’s house. …I will drive you from your office, and from your position He will pull you down .(v. 15-19)

Here He comes to save the day: ” And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call My servant Elyakim (El ,or GOD, of raising) , the son of Hilkiyahu (portion of YAH). ..I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt…give your government into his hand…he shall be a father to …Jerusalem, and the house of Judah…and the key of the house of David will I lay upon His shoulder; so He shall open, and none shall shut; and He shall shut, and none shall open. “ ( v. 20-22) Here we see a clear type of Yeshua Messiah and the  dual prophecy of the Messianic overseer of the 12 tribes in the restored House of David. Sounds a little closer to Revelation!

Here is the clincher: And I will fasten Him as a nail in a sure place; and He shall become a throne of glory to His Father’s House…they shall hang upon Him all the glory of His Father’s House…”(v. 23-24).  Similar to echoes of the Servant Songs of Isaiah,  YHWH shall and will raise a portion or remnant,  who shall reign with and share in the Glory in the Abba Father’s House.  We too shall receive a crown of glory and reign along side the KING of Kings and LORD of Lords.

This chapter should give us a hope in the salvation through the work of Yeshua Ha Moschiach, Jesus Christ

the Messiah, YHWH’s Anointed One , Mighty GOD, Prince of Peace , who was nailed to an execution stake, and took upon Himself, who was perfect, our sins, and reconciled us

We shall not die but live, if we believe in Him.
